There’s an MnM in mnemonic!

Mnemonics is a memory trick in which makes you learn how to spell words in an easier way than just jumping in the deep end and trying to memorize the word off by heart. Mnemonics teaches you how to spell with rhyming, presenting an image, or forming a pattern that makes better sense. I find the pattern idea of Mnemonics is a great way of remembering how to spell words for example ''A piece of pie'', showing that the letter i comes before the letter e except after c.

Class protocols

  • Lateness. Try to be on time but if late come in quietly, quick apology for lateness then sit down and get ready without disturbing others.

  •   Cell phones. Okay to have phones on silent. No use during lecture or student talk times. Just leave quietly if important call comes through.


  • Typing during listening. Engage in active listening when someones talking. No typing, textnig or talking.

Technical Writing Task 1

My name is Luke Parker i went to school in Queenstown starting out in Queenstown primary then going on to attend Wakatipu high school in year 8. What i Like to do on my computer mainly is play games but am almost always on YouTube either watching funny videos or things about computing. I think myself to be good at skateboarding, Skiing and surfing but do it for the fun and excitement of it. After this course i would love to move to Australia and do some IT work over there but would love to work for myself by making my own IT business.

My name is Luke Parker i am 18 years old from Queenstown New Zealand and i am studying IT at Otago Polytechnic, I enjoy skateboarding, surfing and skiing in my spare time and i am also a gamer.
